Testimony From A Member | I’ll gladly offer a testimonial.
I’ve always been one to plan for the future, but I never thought I’d be in this situation and have to use such a benefit. I have found myself unemployed in a down economy. Here we are at the end of the year and a new president elect coming into office in January and everyone is in a “wait and see what happens” pattern.
While it’s very frustrating to be in this position, the only security I have is knowing that me and my family are taken care of. As most folks know, state unemployment simply is not enough to cover one’s household expenses. The only way we could make ends meet was by enrolling in the Plan. This certainly lessens the crippling blow of unemployment.
Many of my friends are in the same line of business and I am. Many of them have asked, “How can you be so calm at a time like this?”
“It’s simple. When I saw the economy beginning to slump, I researched the internet and found a small bit of security.” Then they want to know how they can enroll.
I’ve only used it 2 months so far and it pays just like it was advertised. This policy didn’t change my life. But that’s a good thing. We could have lost everything we’ve worked so hard for.
Thanks for being there when my job wasn’t.
